Narrowleaf Forestieria February 2022 planting

More adventures with Seeds! Today, it’s the Narrowleaf Forestieria (Forestiera angustifolia). This is probably a mis-identification… that’s a North American olive tree, but the actual tree looks like an Australian Native. We’ll see what happens.

If this isn’t an Australian native, it’s doing a good impersonation.

But it’s summer, and everything is in bloom, so let’s spread some opportunity.

Those seeds are actually kind of juicy.

Some of the seeds seemed to stay on and dry up. I’m guessing that’s part of the germination life cycle, so I picked a variety of stages.

Maiden, Mother, and the other one. Maybe. I don’t think that analogy works here.

Seeds, meet soil

Which is ready, I wonder?
A mix of compost, vermiculite, and mulch.

And now I wait.

Just add water, sun, and time.
